Homes for Northumberland is inviting those who are passionate about social housing and keen to take on an interesting role to apply for the post of independent board member with the organisation.
The housing provider has Area Boards in Blyth and Alnwick as well as a Strategic Board, which are all made up of independent, council and tenant members to help manage local services. There are currently three vacancies for independent board members in Alnwick and one vacancy for an independent board member in Blyth.
Open to people of all ages, the position of independent board member plays an important role within the organisation. Homes for Northumberland is inviting those who have a real commitment and enthusiasm for making a real difference in Blyth and Alnwick to come forward.

Senior Investment Officer & Planned Maintenance Officer - Scotland
Argyll Community Housing Association is seeking a Senior Investment Officer & Planned Maintenance Officer, based in Lochgilphead, 35 hours per week, salary grade 4 (£29,773 - £33,080) per annum.
The association is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to project manage the delivery of our housing stock investment programme in relation to planned maintenance, health & safety management and procurement development.
Candidates must hold a minimum of 3 higher grades; a building or property related qualification at a minimum of HND level and have the ECDL or similar IT competency certification.
A minimum of 5 years experience of procurement and building contract management is essential for this post, along with a proven knowledge of multi-tenure housing refurbishment. Working at the cutting edge of housing development with an organisation that is committed to delivering quality homes meeting high standards of environmental sustainability, you will project manage our new build and lead on Investment Partner liaison.
You will have the opportunity to project manage schemes from inception to completion. This means that you will need an excellent knowledge of funding and systems including the Homes & Communities Agency Capital Funding Guide, Investment Management System and Quality Standards.
You will be confident liaising with contractors and partners and bring excellent problem solving and project management skills.
